West Point Grey Energy Evaluation

Now is the Best Time for You to Get an Energy Audit and Upgrade Your Home!

It's now a perfect time for West Point Grey homeowners to consider retrofitting their homes, given the new emissions setting an ambitious building example for Canadian cities. The West Point Grey municipal government is leading the charge toward renewable energy for households with an ambitious goal of requiring all large commercial buildings to use only renewable energy by 2040. Retrofitting your home to save energy is an easy way for Canadian residents to help. If you're a homeowner in West Point Grey, Vancouver area, you may be eligible for the new greener Home Grants. It's never been a better time to upgrade your home.
"Our dedicated consultants at Energy Werx are doing their part in the CleanBC plan by giving homeowners top-of-the-line advice on how they may help B.C. reach emissions reduction targets for 2030 and 2050," says Josh Kovac, the owner of the B.C. franchise of Energy Werx.

Upgrading insulation and windows and replacing existing heating systems like furnaces with heat pumps can help decrease greenhouse gas emissions. Retrofitting a home to increase airtightness can help improve indoor air quality and the resilience of the buildings. In the past couple of years, West Point Grey residents experienced record high temperatures in the summer, and the effects of the heatwave were devastating to the local communities. Homes in West Point Grey are generally not built to withstand high temperatures, and this is where heat pumps and improved insulation can help keep you cool and reduce planet-warming greenhouse gas emissions.
